The Lost Fingers is a Canadian gypsy jazz music group formed in Quebec City. Its members are Alex Morissette (backing vocals, double bass), Dr. Christian Roberge (lead vocals, guitar), and Byron "Maiden" Mikaloff (backing vocals, guitar).
Lost in the 80s, their 2008 debut album, earned a platinum certification for sales of 100,000 within Quebec alone within 12 weeks of its release.[1] Canadian distribution outside Quebec began on 27 January 2009, after which the album's sales reached 200,000.[1] Internationally, Lost in the 80's has been released in over eight countries including the USA, Belgium, France, Mexico, Switzerland and Spain.[2] In terms of 2008 domestic sales by Canadian artists, this album was second only to Nickelback's Dark Horse.[3][4] Their second album Rendez-vous rose was released on 16 June 2009 and features versions of successful French-language songs. The band's name was inspired by gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt who lost the use of two fingers following a fire.[3]
In 2009, the group was nominated for two Juno Awards in the categories of Fan Choice Award and Album of the Year based on the success of their debut release.
Their fourth album La Marquise was released 21 November 2011 on record label Tandem.

A pretty cool little collection – a wealth of funky tracks from 1970s Korea, all mixed together by a resident DJ from the scene! All of the cuts here are entirely new to our ears – and most of them are pretty darn funky, too – a very hip blend of American funk and soul influences, filtered through some Eastern pop production – all of which makes for one of the most unusual mixes you'll ever hope to hear! Pela primeira vez o projeto hechonachina executou uma obra encomendada. E quem conhece a Luciana Baptista (respnsável pela encomenda) pode imaginar quais os seus toques no resultado final. Por outro lado uma coisa ou outra foram incorporadas por conta própria. No fim o móvel foi restaurado e ganhou uma nova pintura em dois tons, junto com a tradicional ilustração a nanquim. For the first time, the "hechonachina" project made a custom furniture. Who knows Luciana Baptista (she's the customer) could imagine what is her touch on final results. Nevertheless, my personal touch was incorporate too. And so, the furniture was restored and won a new painting on two colours and the traditional china ink ilustration. Hope you like, Lu.

Hoje temos a bomba atômica, mas na primeira guerra a arma de destruição em massa era nosso querido Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, astuto piloto que travava batalhas aereas em seu triplano. Para nós vulgo barao vermelho, este que tambem foi um dos personagens prediletos na corrida maluca e na decada de 80 a ousada banda de rock. O porque deste breve relato sobre o sr Richthofen se da pelo fato desta cadeira possuir a pintura de uma das aeronaves pilotada por ele. O cabide se somou a cadeira, que depois de desmontada e remontada sofreu uma desconstrução bem notavel. No final sua nova forma ficou semelhante a um avião, pelo menos no meu ponto de vista, e a tinta vermelha que escolhi me direcionou a pintura tematica do fokker dr I usado na primeira guerra. Today we have the atômic bomb, but in the first war the weapon of mass destruction was Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, a famous pilot of german air force. Known as "der rote Kampfflieger" or red baron in english, he would be made a personage of a Wacky Races years later. The purpose of this history is becouse this chair was paintin with the colours of the Richthofen's plane, the famous fokker dr 1. We have a big deconstruction in the forms of the chair, giving a other design completely diferent of the original. This chair was painted with white and red automotive paint and china ink illustrations.
TARO SOUL is a Japanese Singer/Rapper. He is a better rapper than he is a singer. His singing isn't the best but it adds something to his music. This is the only Cd I bought in Japan, it was cheap and I knew a few of his songs, so why not? Now his music is j-pop than J-hop, so, if you're more into underground stuff, you should download this album.

Após dois anos e meio morando em Tóquio fiz muitos amigos, alguns muito próximos no qual tive a oportunidade de frequentar suas casas, conhecer suas famílias, brincar com seus filhos e até, é claro, ser convidado para acabar com a minha garganta e fígado nas inúmeras cabines de Karaokê espalhadas pela cidade. Tóquio é considerada a capital asiática do entretenimento, e as opções são muitas, game centers, praças, parques de diversões irados, shows, bares e restaurantes de todos os tipos servindo todos os estilos de comida, nem só de sushi vive o povo por lá. Andar nas ruas, agora praticamente vazias, também é um espectáculo a parte, você nunca sabe quando irá bater de frente com alguém vestido de "lolita", "french maid", ou igual ao seu personagem favorito de mangá. O japonês vai a fundo quando gosta de alguma coisa, quando eles gostam, eles gostam! A vida no Japão é levada com liberdade de expressão, criatividade, bom humor, extrema simplicidade e ternura.
A capacidade de organização e educação do povo também é inacreditável, lá ninguém fura a fila, os carros esperam o sinal verde e raramente alguém reclama de alguma coisa, pelo menos em público. No metrô primeiro se sai, depois se entra, não existe jeitinho ou favorecimento em uma sociedade coletiva onde todos tem os mesmos direitos e responsabilidades. As pessoas não gritam na rua e quase não se ouvem buzinas, acreditem, faz uma diferença…….. As crianças são extremamente educadas e independentes, diariamente tu vê grupos de crianças pegando o trem sozinhas após o colégio ou correndo em pracinhas enquanto mães despreocupadas colocam a fofóca em dia. Existe muito respeito em relação aos pequenos por lá e todos são muito gentis e brincalhões com os piás. Quem, assim como eu teve a oportunidade de criar um filho no Japão sabe o quanto isso é importante. Lá também encontrei muita solidariedade e ajuda de pessoas que mal conhecia, foi-se minha imagem de povo frio e calculista que eu tinha, quando eles se dispõem a ajudar, mesmo que seja um "Gaijin" (estrangeiro) a coisa, não é mesmo da boca pra fora. Eta coração grande que aquele povo têm.
Por todos esses motivos, e obviamente pelos fortes laços que criei no tempo que morei lá eu fiquei muito arrasado quando as 3:00 da madrugada fui acordado por diversas mensagens da minha amiga Kazuyo no Skype, eu a conheci por lá mas ela já morou dois anos no Brasil, sendo um deles em Caxias do Sul. Ela estava sozinha em casa e muito abalada me contava que estava passando pelo pior terremoto que já havia sentido, que o seu celular não funcionava e que eu aqui no Brasil, era o único contacto on-line dela. O que vi depois foi uma sucessão de imagens e informações que me deixou de cabelo em pé e obviamente me levou aos prantos, não, isso não pode estar acontecendo.
O medo de terremotos é algo com o qual os japoneses convivem naturalmente, eu mesmo presenciei mais de uma dúzia enquanto morava lá e realmente depois de algum tempo você até ri, de nervoso mas ri. Um grande terremoto na região era esperado há mais de 15 anos e as estruturas básicas dentro do possível resistiram, com uma única mas perigosa excessão. O alarme contra tsunamis funcionou, senão agora estaríamos contabilizando centenas de milhares de mortos. Palmas para o sistema de prevenção de acidentes do país. Palmas também para o que se assiste nesse momento, mesmo que seja de apertar o coração, a imagem de um povo que organizadamente se mantém tranquilo e muito unido, mesmo que exista fome não existem saques, restaurantes distribuem comida de graça e supermercados reduziram os preços para poder suprir as necessidades básicas da população. Cidadânia em sua mais pura essência. As pessoas no Japão amam seu país e estão fazendo o possível pela sua nação como um todo enquanto em outros lugares as pessoas amam seus países mas fazem o possível por elas mesmas. Esta na minha opinião é a maior lição que deveria ficar na cabeça de todos nós, ame seu país mas respeite incondicionalmente o próximo.

After two and a half years living in Tokyo I made many friends, some of them were so close that I even had the opportunity to visit their houses, meet their families, play with their kids and, of course, be invited to "kill" my throat and liver in one of the many “Karaoke” booths throughout the city. Mayhem!!!!!! Tokyo is considered the Asian capital of entertainment, and the options are many, game centers, “koens”, amusement parks, concerts, bars and restaurants serving any kind of food you wish for, guess what, they don't only eat sushi, booya! . Walking in the streets, now mostly empty, can be a blast that you will never know till you bump someone dressed as a lolita or as a French maid or even maybe as the same as your favorite mangaa character. The Japanese goes deep when they like something, when they like, they actually like! Life in Japan is brought to freedom of expression, creativity, humor, extreme simplicity and tenderness.
The organizational skills and education of the people is also unbelievable, no one sticks to queue there, the cars always wait for the green light and hardly anyone complains, at least in public. On the subway you go out first, and then, everyone else comes in. There isn’t a knack or favoritism in a collective society where everyone has the same rights and responsibilities. People do not scream in the streets and you barely hear car horns, believe me, it makes a huge difference ............... Children are very kind, highly educated and independent. Every day you see groups of children taking the train by themselves after school or in parks running around. Everybody respects the kids there and usually people are very kind and nice to them. Who, as I had the opportunity to raise a child in Japan knows how important this is. I also found a lot of sympathy and help from people who I barely knew, so, the image I had about a cold hearted people gone automatically away. When they say they will help you, they actually do. What a big and warm heart that people has.
For all these reasons, and obviously for the strong ties that I create there I felt devastated when the last weeks 3:00 o' clock in the morning, I was awakened by several messages from my friend Kazuyo on Skype, When I met her in Tokyo, she had already lived in Brazil for two years, one of them in Caxias do Sul, a city very close from my hometown. She was home alone and very scared by the moment telling me that she was experiencing the worst earthquake ever. Her cell phone wasn't working at all and I; here in Brazil was the only online contact on her Skype. What I saw after this it was a succession of images and information that I couldn't believe my eyes, and obviously led me to tears. No, this can't be happening.
Fear of earthquakes is something which Japanese people lives naturally, I even witnessed more than a dozen while I was living there and after a while you get used to so as you even laugh about it, nervously…….. A major earthquake in the region was expected for more than 15 years and the basic structures hold as much as it was possible, with one dangerous exception. The tsunami alarm worked; otherwise we would be counting hundreds of thousands of causalities. Congratulations for all the infra structure that Japan has. Also, congrats for what we are witnessing at this moment, (even if it is heart wrenching). The image of an organized and peaceful nation which is trying to put itself together, even if there is hunger there is no looting, some restaurants are distributing free food and supermarkets are cutting prices in order to meet the basic needs of the population. Pure Humanity. Japanese people love their country and do what is best for their nation; unlike almost everywhere people just love their country and do what is best for their selves.
This in my opinion about one of the saddest moments of my life and the greatest lesson that should be learned by all in my humble opinion is: love your country but unconditionally respect others.

Vou comecar a escrever mais (com ou sem acentos) sobre a minha peculiar forma de entender Tokyo, os Japoneses e sua forma de perceber a quantidade cada vez maior de estrangeiros que habitam essa cidade e que pagam mais impostos cada vez mais caros para morar em lugar que nao faz sentido nenhum e faz todo o sentido ao mesmo tempo.
Como li em algum lugar, Tokyo foi concebida sem planejamento nenhum, enfrentou um grande incendio, alguns terremotos e a quantidade de bombas que os americanos soltaram aqui durante a II guerra, causou mais destruicao do que as bombas de Hiroshima e Nagasaki juntas. Entao por isso em Tokyo voce ve um templo e logo ao lado uma escola, vizinha de um Mcdonald's que fica em frente a um cemiterio, que por sua vez encontra-se ao lado de um hospital e assim por diante.
E o mais engracado e que e quase como um ciclo por toda a cidade e nao so em alguns pontos isolados.
Neste album o classudo produtor frances DJ Cam nos presenteia com uma belissima selecao de tracks no melhor estilo easy listening,R&B, soulfull Jazz??? So ouvindo. Na verdade o album nao chega a ser dele e sim de sua protege, a competentissima cantora francesa InLove que com vocais doces e suaves nos leva por essa nao declarada homenagem a grande Minnie Ripperton. Existe ate uma musica dedicada a ela. Eu sou fa do cara e essa mina canta muito, o disco soa muito bem e o passeio de 40 minutos pelos tracks acaba quando a recem parece ter comecado. Vale a pena.
